Currently, the web browser 'Google Chrome' is showing its sole dominance. Now, to compete with Chrome, Open AI, the company that created ChatGPT, is bringing its own web browser.
In a recent report, Reuters reported that this browser based on artificial intelligence (AI) will be released in the market soon.
Like this browser, OpenAI's own AI agent will be directly connected. As a result, the browser will be able to perform various tasks on behalf of the user. For example, the browser will be able to complete tasks such as filling out forms online, booking tickets or hotels on its own.
This initiative is being seen as a major business strategy for OpenAI. The number of people who use ChatGPT at least once a week is now about 500 million.
If even a part of this large user group starts using the new browser, Google's advertising-based revenue could be hit. About three-quarters of Google's parent company Alphabet's total revenue comes from advertising.

The Chrome browser helps display ads more effectively by analyzing user preferences. OpenAI's browser can make a big difference in Google's business.
Reuters reported, citing sources, that this browser may be released to customers in the next few weeks. Open AI hopes that this browser will radically change the way people use the Internet.
This new browser from Open AI will not be limited to clicking on various websites like conventional browsers. Two sources said that its main interface will be similar to ChatGPT, where users can complete many tasks through chat.
However, this path will not be easy for Open AI. According to web analytics firm StatCounter, more than two-thirds of netizens worldwide currently use Google Chrome. Its number of users is more than 3 billion. Apple's Safari, which is in second place, has a market share of only 16 percent.
In the meantime, several other AI startups such as Perplexity, The Browser Company and Brave have brought their own AI browsers to the market.
It is worth noting that Open AI, led by Sam Altman, created a stir with ChatGPT in late 2022. Then Google was forced to quickly open their AI model.
The latest addition was the AI model DeepSec, which created a stir in China. However, despite all this, Open AI has survived the competition well. Now they are going to compete directly with Google by bringing a web browser.
