Nowadays, artificial intelligence or AI has reached almost everyone's fingertips through smartphones. AI applications like Dipsik and ChatGPT have now become a daily companion for many. Be it writing or answering complex questions, AI is making many tasks easier in all areas. Even questions that were once too difficult to ask anyone can now be asked fearlessly with ChatGPT.
However, there is a big warning among all these benefits. Even if you use ChatGPT or any other AI tool, you should not forget to share some important information. Otherwise, you may be exposed to major cyber risks.
What information cannot be shared with ChatGPT?
1. Personal identification information
Your full name, date of birth, address, national identity card or voter ID—do not share any such information with ChatGPT. Although this platform does not claim to store information, it can become a potential target for hackers. Cybercriminals can use this information to commit identity theft, fraud or other criminal acts.
2. Financial and banking information
Never share bank account numbers, debit/credit card information, OTP, passwords or any other type of financial transaction information with AI. The amount of cybercrime is increasing day by day. A little carelessness can cause big losses.
3. Passwords and Login Information
Never enter passwords for social media, email, or other accounts into AI tools like ChatGPT. Make your passwords complex and hard to guess, and of course, use Two-Factor Authentication to further strengthen security.
4. Private feelings or information
Many people are using ChatGPT as a means of emotional support. But it is not safe to share relationship-related things, personal feelings, or past life events on this platform. Remember, ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence program, not a human. Therefore, there is a risk of such personal information being spread digitally.
5. Confidential office or business information
If you share client information, business plans, new project details, or any business idea with ChatGPT, it may go to competitors. This may also cause business losses or legal complications.
ChatGPT and other AI tools make our daily work much easier, but awareness is essential in using them. Sharing incorrect information or careless use can cause serious danger in the future. So, when using AI, be sure to keep the above points in mind. Be aware, be safe.
