Cristiano Ronaldo has the most followers on Instagram among athletes. He also posts advertisements in between his personal life photos. And from this, his large number of followers has created an income stream for him.


Recently, the Danish-based online platform for influencer marketing, 'Influencer Marketing Hub', published a report on the income of stars on Instagram.


Ronaldo is at the top of the list. Cristiano Ronaldo earned $3.234 million for each post in 2024. This amounts to more than Tk 395.3 million in Bangladeshi currency. The 40-year-old Portuguese star has about 658.8 million Instagram followers.


Ronaldo is followed by his arch-rival Lionel Messi. Messi has 505.7 million followers on Instagram. The Argentine star, who plays for Inter Miami, earns $2.597 million or Tk 317.5 million per post.


Virat Kohli is next in line after these two football stars. The legendary Indian batsman has 274.1 million Instagram followers, which is the highest among cricketers and Asians.


According to Influencer Marketing, Kohli earned $1.384 million per post on Instagram in 2024, which is about 170 million taka in Bangladeshi currency. And Kohli is ranked 14th across all media (Facebook, X).


And after Ronaldo and Messi, the rest of the top five are American singer and actress Selena Gomez ($2.558 million per post), Kylie Jenner, owner of beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics ($2.386 million), and Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, known as 'The Rock' ($2.326 million).
