Six women have returned to Earth after traveling in space together. One of them was even heard singing while in space. She is pop artist Katy Perry. It has not been the first time since 1963 that there has been no man in space. Through this, Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin has written its name in the pages of history.

The six are pop star Katy Perry, author and Bezos' fiancée Lauren Sanchez, journalist and TV presenter Gayle King, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and filmmaker Kerryann Flynn.

The mission was led by Bezos' fiancée Sanchez. The company of US billionaire and e-commerce company Amazon CEO Bezos has so far taken 52 people into space as part of the 'New Shepard' program, including himself. Bezos joined the first flight of New Shepard in 2021.

The British media outlet BBC says that while in space, the crew floated in weightlessness for about three minutes and enjoyed the view of the Earth from the capsule's large window. The crew capsule then returned to Earth using three parachutes.

The six women's journey began with the launch of the reusable self-propelled rocket from Launch Site One in West Texas, USA, at 8:30 am local time on Monday (April 14). They returned to Earth 10 minutes later.

However, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the space research agency NASA and the US military will not classify these women who are traveling in space as astronauts. Because they all lack the necessary qualifications to be considered astronauts.
